When we began our plans to make over the front and backyards of this client, no one could have predicted how much the new outdoor oasis would help her wellbeing. We were happy to be a part of making the space around her more functional and beautiful as she focused on healing.

A new enlarged composite deck was a must, with glass railings to see the new landscape better and privacy screens to keep things cozy. Walking down the deck’s grand double stairs to an oversized patio with comfy seating and a fire table lets everyone enjoy the backyard close up at the many family gatherings. Ornamental specimen trees, low-maintenance perennials for both sun and shade and all-season blooming plants and flowers round out this backyard.

The mostly full-sun and dry front yard got a much-needed makeover, changing the ever-burning grass to drought-tolerant ground cover and sun-loving, flowering perennials, including some native plants, to ensure lots of pollinator visitors! A “dry river bed” adds a hint of whimsy to the shadier area nearest the house.
